Diversity in Cycling

Diversifying the Cycling Community

Youth Engagement

Cycling has a cross cultural connection because people of all ages, in countries across the world, use bicycles for transportation.

Learning to ride a bike is one of the early childhood memories that should be common to everyone.

Cycles and Change is on board with efforts to increase infrastructure and access to cycling in communities of color.  As just one example, Atlanta has 30 miles of bike lane and not one of them is in the West End, a transit rich area with 5 MARTA stations nor do bike lanes service the large HBCUs campus area.

Cycles and Change founder, Neil Walker was recently appointed to the League of American Bicyclists’ new Equity Advisory Council.
